New exhibitions, new paintings to be posted soon, and a preview article

Dear Subscriber:

A few quick updates for you.

Philadelphia exhibition / October 5 - 29, opening reception October 8, 1 - 4pm

I am very pleased to be presenting new works in my sixth solo exhibition at Gross McCleaf Gallery in Philadelphia.

The opening date is Wednesday, October 5; and the artist’s reception is Saturday, October 8. It runs from 1 - 4pm, and though not necessary, you may RSVP for a timeslot on a form which will appear once the Gross McCleaf website is updated for my exhibition..

Sneak-preview painting, “Ruby Evening” 16 x 14 inches, oil on linen

The new paintings will be be posted on my site, as well as on the gallery’s website (https://www.grossmccleaf.com/) next week.

You’ll be the first to see them if you subscribed to “New Paintings” (https://thomaspaquette.com/updates/).

Exhibition preview article / October American Art Collector

The October edition of American Art Collector magazine features a short preview article about my exhibition. The photo of me painting in my studio was shot by my brother Mark when he was visiting. If you guessed by the very high perspective that he is my big brother, you would be right.

Wyoming exhibition / November 4 - December 23

In other news, I happy to report that The Brinton Museum in Big Horn, WY, will show three of my paintings in an invitational exhibition, “The Brinton 101”, with a hundred other artists from around the country. These small works pictured above – Highland Haze, Wilderness Falls II, Slice of Daylight – are each about 8 x 6 inches on panel. My paintings have been included in past "101" exhibitions and the museum has a major painting of mine in its collection.
