Paintings on display in Connecticut and Lithuania

Dear Subscriber,
If you I won't keep you long. I know you have a lot of holiday shopping to get back to if you are somehow like the people I hear about on the news.

Last month the New Britain Museum of American Art Museum in New Britain, Connecticut, opened a large and wonderful exhibition titled, "As We See It: The Collection of Gail and Ernst von Metzsch." Besides my own work, the other paintings owned by these passionate collectors and included in this survey of their collection, are by some of the finest realist painters in the Northeast. See it if you can. It closes January 8.

Between Voyages, 36 x 46 inches, oil on linen

In other news, at the same time that three paintings are making their way back from our embassy in Moscow, another painting of mine, Between Voyages [above], has just arrived at the US Embassy in Vilnius, Lithuania, where it will be on display for the duration of Ambassador Anne Hall's tenure there. It will serve as part of what I heard Colin Powell describe, at the 40th anniversary celebration for the Arts in Embassies Program, as "our best diplomatic tool".

Happy holidays to you and yours, from me and mine!
