April 5, 2014 newsletter

My paintings are "Drafted" to Hollywood.

A few of my paintings are in veteran producer/director Ivan Reitman's new big film opening April 11, Draft Day. Along with Jennifer Garner, Kevin Costner, Denis Leary, Ellen Burstyn, Frank Langella, Sam Elliot, Rosanna Arquette, those paintings will appear on screen in the home of the number-one draft pick, played by Chadwick Boseman (who was Jackie Robinson in 42).

Highland Summer (aka, Missouri Heights) is in the movie to be what the art director called the "hero piece" for Boseman's home, along with two others that were granted reproduction rights, Sky Ascending (at the embassy in Guyana currently) and Lingering Light (in a private collection).
